worn out but was refurbished in 2001, with
the original two fireplaces restored. All
rooms are equipped with air-conditioning
units and private Jacuzzi tubs. Local
attractions near the inn are the University
of Rhode Island, Yawgoo Valley and eight
golf courses and Country Club. The river is
only a walk down away, where partners can
enjoy fishing trout.
Serving as an attractive structure in the
Providence is the Greek-inspired Edgewood
Manor which is located two and a half miles
from downtown Providence. Considered as a
luxurious bed and breakfast, it was
constructed and commissioned in 1905 by
Samuel Priest, this mansion offers one of
the best B&B services in the state. The
mansion's original beauty was restored in
1994, accentuating its beautiful rooms
ornamented with fireplaces and stained-glass
windows. While furnished with antique art,
the amenities of Edgewood Manor include
cable television and wireless Internet
access.
Last in this list is Old Court Bed and
Breakfast also in Providence, incorporating
a mixture of twenty first century lifestyle
and nineteenth century style as its motif.
It was built in 1863 by Alpheus Morse as a
rectory, and is situated in Benefit Street
with a stretch of the best Colonial and
Victorian houses in the country are its
neighbors. Rates include a overnight stay
