Cafe Choklad, Thomas Street

The Caesar Salad with White Chicken is made with fresh romaine lettuce and Parmigiano Reggiano in Café Choklad’s own flavorsome caesar salad dressing. The Shanghai Salad consists of Asian greens, tasty chicken breast, carrots, red cabbage, sesame seeds, wonton strips and Chinese cabbage tossed in Café Choklad’s Asian dressing. The Cobb Salad is made with thick slices of turkey, ham, bacon, garden-fresh romaine lettuce, hard-boiled eggs, juicy tomatoes, cucumbers and avocado covered in tangy balsamic vinaigrette.

Café Choklad has a mouth-watering selection of sandwiches and grilled paninis. The café sandwiches include the Chicken BLT, which is served on foccacia with herb mayonnaise; the H-C Anderson, which consists of pate, bacon, lingonberries, lettuce and cucumbers on sliced French brioche; the Danish Havarti and Cucumber, which is served on cranberry pecan bread with sweet mango chutney and baby greens; the Southwest Turkey BLT which is prepared with guacamole, lettuce and tomato; the Brie with Black Forest Ham, which is also served on cranberry pecan bread smeared with honey mustard; the All White Tuna Salad on a wrap or French roll; and the Chicken Salad Croissant made with chicken carefully roasted to succulent perfection by Café Choklad’s chefs. The café’s most popular panini is probably the S’more Panini. It is Brioche topped with the most delectable semi-sweet chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows. The other paninis on the menu include the Chicken Capresse, the Cuban Café and the Caponata De La Plata. The Chicken Capresse is made with chicken, cheese, tomato, pesto and roasted red peppers on foccacia. The Cuban Café is made with pork tenderloin, black forest ham and Swiss cheese. The Caponata De La Plata consists of roasted eggplant, olives, onions, capers, tomatoes, dried missionfigs, red peppers, cocoa and a mix of various kinds of cheese.

In addition to its delightful selection of salads, sandwiches and paninis, Café Choklad also serves coffee, chocolate, tea and milk-based drinks that truly satisfy the senses of taste and smell. Add all this to the visually-pleasing interiors of Café Choklad, and you get an experience that’s unlike any other.
