The Mooring- The Mooring Restaurant is
located on Sayer's Wharf, directly off
America's Cup Avenue in historic downtown
Newport. The Mooring’s menu combines unique
and distinctive flavors that combine fresh
seafood from the local waters with local
organic produce. They also offer a raw bar,
appetizers, salads and entrees. You may also
have your choice of over 900 bottles of
different wines to accompany your dinner.
Red Parrot- The Red Parrot building is
listed on the National Register of
Historical Places in Newport. It was built
in 1898 by John Alton Barker as a meat
packing house, where it employed hundreds of
people during the era known as “The Gilded
Age”. Through the years this building has
seen its share of dining establishments come
and go. Since becoming the Red Parrot, the
building has offered an eclectic assortment
of steaks, pork chops, chicken and seafood
served in classic Caribbean style.
